Oleg Kaskiv was born in Ukraine in 1978. In 1996, he won a scholarship to the „International Menuhin Musical Academy” in Switzerland and trained under Alberto Lysy; today he is the Artistic Director of this prestigious establishment.
He is a laureate of numerous international competitions, including the Queen Elisabeth, and has performed with leading orchestras worldwide.He devotes all his energies to teaching the next generation(s) as well as performing himself. He plays a violin by Giuseppe Guarneri „del Gesù”.
Natalia Movchan was born and grew up in Lviv. Her most important teachers, to whom she owes much of her musical and human education, were Olga Rissin-Morenova, Maria Krych and Oleg Gerega.
She went through a number of training institutions such as the Salome Krushelnytka Special Music School, the Lviv Music Academy, the National University of Lviv (Diploma in journalism) and the Music University in Karlsruhe (finishing with the Master’s and Soloists’s examination) before finally arriving in Berne.
Natalia appears as a chamber musician and soloist with orchestra in Ukraine, Germany, France, Italy and Switzerland.
She forms a duo with her friend Olga Petryk, violinist in the Luxembourg Philharmonic ochestra; together they offer a programme of Ukrainian classical music for violin and piano, with commentary in German or English.
